Learn Portuguese in the moments between.
Vozla teaches the Portuguese of Lisbon and Porto — not Rio. Eight words a day arrive on your lock screen during the hours you choose. Tap, hear, learn. Then practise with a real speaker across the city.
Thirty seconds. One loop.
Every Vozla word is one loop: a notification, a listen, a short quiz, a tile. The whole thing fits between a tram and a coffee. Repeated six to twelve times a day, only during the hours you choose.
A Tuesday in your pocket.
Same thirty-second loop, six times across a normal day. You set the start and end of your day; we schedule the rest.
Seventy per cent of the internet teaches the wrong Portuguese.
If you live in Lisbon and study with mainstream apps, you are learning to be misunderstood in two languages. Different vocabulary, different conjugations, very different sound. Vozla's corpus is CEFR A1, cross-referenced with the syllabus Portuguese-language schools use, and ends with Lisbon-recorded audio.
One hundred tiles, one wall.
Every word you finish earns an azulejo tile. The full hundred is enough to survive a Tuesday in Lisbon — order coffee, ask directions, navigate the AIMA office, make small talk with a stranger. No streaks. No guilt notifications. Just the wall, filling in.
Find a neighbour. Trade an hour.
Twelve thousand Portuguese natives within five kilometres of Marquês de Pombal want to practise their English. Vozla matches you on language, neighbourhood and free hours. You meet for a coffee. You both leave better at the language you're learning.

Three people, same Portuguese.
Built solo, in Portugal.
Vozla is built by Saroar, an indie iOS developer based in Portugal, trading as "Vozla by Alif". The corpus is checked by hand. The audio is recorded in Lisbon by native voice actors. Nothing is generated.
